The Hippodrome State Theater received the state of Florida's first recognition as a Community Level Model program. The organization went through a rigorous evaluation of its Hippodrome Improvisational Teen Theater (HITT). Receiving the recognition is Kelly Dugan, Director of Education. More than 350 youth attended this year's conference. The Youth Leadership Summit was filled with workshops, a fashion show, projects and this rock-climbing wall provided by the Florida National Guard. Youth, like these, learned personal skills and ways to help their peers back in their own communities. |
